How we structure our courses

If you take the midweek course, which is the most popular programme; On the first two evenings we have introductions to get to know all your class mates and then review the theory, also look at how all the gear goes together and how itworks.

The third and fourth evenings we are joined by the fly in fly out students. We are then off to the pool to learn all the skills to become a safe scuba diver.

Have Friday off to get prepared for the weekend.

On Saturday morning we meet at Burn's Beach at 9am for two training dives in the Marine Park. We will repeat the skills you learnt in the pool, but this time you will experience diving in a real life situation.

On Sunday we will do another 2 shore dives, unless you have decided to take the upgrade option of only $45 to do 2 boat dives on our custom made solid dive boat with plenty of room to move and keep warm!! If you decide to dive off the boat we will try and teach most of the skills on the first 2 dives from the shore, leaving the boat as a fun dive experience. Also, we will automatically upgrade you to our deluxe programme by giving you 2 extra boat dives, valued at $69.95 absolutely FREE the following Saturday.

Our instructors will certify you as full Open Water Scuba Divers, cook a celebration BBQ and then have an opportunity to swap dive stories and future dive adventures and contact details. Not fogetting if you become a fan on facebook you will be able to view photo's from your dive course.

We will also give you your reward card, offering you all the benefits of learning with us, including 2 extra free boat dives. We rely on word of mouth, so if you enjoyed your course for every person you refer to learn to dive with us will give you a another 2 free boat dives.

But if there is something about the course you didn't like, I would still like to know so we can adjust our programmes to constantly help better ourselves.

In Short, the PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

1. Knowledge Development
2. Confined Water Divesin the pool to learn the basic skills
3. Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore!

Prerequisites for Scuba Diving

To enroll in the PADI Open Diver course be 12 years or older, be able to swim 200m and have a completed AS 4005 form from a qualified doctor .

What will I need to supply?

Bathers, Towel and Sunscrean
Dive Medical
2 passport sized photographs
Logbook (student price $10)
