PADI Rescue Diver Course in Perth

Rewarding and fun – this best describes the Mindarie Rescue Diver course. This course will expand your knowledge and experience level. Why become a Rescue Diver? Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence.

What do I need to start?

You must be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or have a qualifying certification from another training organization. You will need to have attended a sanctioned CPR and First Aid program within the past 24 months. The Minimum age is 15 years old (12 for PADI Junior Rescue Diver). You also need a minimum of 20 dives logged.

What will I do?

Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. During the 10 pool exercises and four open water scenarios, you'll cover:

• Self-rescue and diver stress
• AED and emergency oxygen delivery systems
• Swimming and non-swimming rescue techniques
• Emergency management and equipment
• Panicked diver response
• Underwater problems
• Missing diver procedures
• Surfacing the unconscious diver
• In-water rescue breathing protocols
• Egress (exits)
• First aid procedures for pressure related accidents

How long will it take?

The Rescue Diver Course takes place over one evening and one weekend. Including a classroom session, and two days of open water senarios.
What does the course include?

The course price of $365 includes: Your Rescue Diver Manual, Emergency Management Slate, air fills, pool fees, certification fees and wall certificate. What do I need to provide? You need to supply your own snorkel gear, a pocket mask and 2 passport sized photos. All Scuba gear is provited for the course.
